As a fully qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, I provide a therapeutic, confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. My aim is to support and empower you to find solutions to any areas where you may feel stuck, facilitating growth and change.
Perhaps you are currently in crisis, or struggling to make sense of past hurts and traumas. Maybe you are aware of changes you would like to make in your life but need support to do so. Or perhaps you feel overwhelmed or lost but unsure as to why.
Counselling is a process that can help you gain new insights and resolve unfinished business which can block your ability to flourish and reach your full potential. Gaining an understanding of why we feel and behave the way we do, can enable us to work towards change and a happier, healthier relationship with ourselves and others.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I use various Humanistic models in response to your individual needs. In my experience, a successful therapeutic relationship, built on trust and respect, can promote positive change and be immensely healing in itself. Working collaboratively, at a pace determined by you, we can explore your thoughts and feelings and any underlying causes with compassion.
Your first appointment provides the opportunity for you to outline what brings you to counselling. This will enable me to learn more about you, and how I can best help you. Importantly, our initial meeting will also give you the chance to ask any questions you may have, and to see if I am the right counsellor for you.
I work within short term, longer term or open ended sessions. You are free to end sessions at any stage that feels right for you.
If you have any questions that you would like to ask before arranging a consultation, please call or send me an email.
I am warm, empathic and accepting. I have worked within various caring professions over the years, and have a particular experience in Bereavement Counselling and volunteer at a local Hospice.
